As part of a contest for Mag-Tools back in October of 2020, I submitted this design:

 

 

 

This is a quick connect for a dust collection system. Using a strong, switchable magnet and a half-hinge system, you can easily move your hose from tool to tool. Place the hinge pin in the mating hole, swing the plate into place and a quick turn of the knob will lock it in place. The mating side only requires one washer for the MagJig to grab hold of, so all you need is the one magnet for the collector/shopvac side.
